Glass Fibre
Glass fibres for cementitious reinforcement
Adds suitable glass fibres to specified concrete flooring and cementitious mixes. Fibre type, alkali resistance and dosage must match the design.
THE MATERIAL
What it does
Glass fibres can provide dispersed reinforcement in suitable cementitious applications. Fibres intended for cement-based mixes must be selected for compatibility with the alkaline environment; ordinary glass fibres are not automatically suitable.
Technical considerations
Confirm alkali-resistant fibre suitability, length, dosage and mixing requirements with the supplier and designer. Glass fibres differ from steel fibres and pre-formulated fibre-reinforced repair mortars. They do not automatically replace structural reinforcement or guarantee crack-free concrete.
Product selection depends on the surface and site conditions. Ask our team for specifications and availability.

What to tell us
- 1What concrete or cementitious mix is planned?
- 2What fibre type and dosage does the design specify?
- 3What reinforcement function and placement method are required?
