Steel fibres for concrete
Steel reinforcement fibres for engineer-designed concrete mixes and slabs.
Overview
Steel fibres are added to specified concrete mixes to modify behaviour under an engineered design. Fibre geometry, dosage and distribution are important and cannot be inferred from the category name. They do not automatically replace conventional reinforcement. Slab loading, joint arrangement, concrete mix and placement method should be reviewed by the responsible designer.
Typical applications
- Engineer-designed industrial slabs
- Specified fibre-reinforced concrete
- Designed precast or specialist concrete applications
