Bituminous Waterproofing Coating
Bitumen-based waterproofing coating
Forms a bitumen-based barrier on suitable retaining walls, foundations and external tank walls. Water pressure and protection requirements guide selection.
THE MATERIAL
What it does
Bituminous waterproofing coatings are applied as liquids to compatible prepared surfaces. They differ from bituminous joint sealants and sheet membranes; formulations may use water or solvent carriers and have different intended exposures.
Technical considerations
Check substrate moisture, required build-up, curing and compatibility with adjacent materials. Protection may be needed before backfilling. A damp-proofing grade should not be assumed suitable for hydrostatic pressure, exposed roofs or internal drinking-water tank surfaces.
Product selection depends on the surface and site conditions. Ask our team for specifications and availability.
WHERE IT’S USED

LET’S NARROW IT DOWN
What to tell us
- 1Which surface and side of the structure need treatment?
- 2Will it face dampness or water pressure?
- 3What protection or backfill is planned?
