SBS Membrane
SBS-modified bituminous waterproofing membrane
Provides sheet waterproofing using elastomer-modified bitumen for retaining walls, basements and suitable roof systems. Installation and protection depend on the selected sheet.
THE MATERIAL
What it does
SBS membranes use styrene-butadiene-styrene to modify the bituminous binder. They are distinct from APP-modified sheets; the binder name alone does not establish the installation method or exposed-roof suitability.
Technical considerations
Confirm reinforcement, substrate preparation, laps, terminations and the specified bonding method. Below-ground sheets need suitable protection before backfilling; exposed roof systems require a sheet finish or protective layer specified for weather exposure.
Product selection depends on the surface and site conditions. Ask our team for specifications and availability.
