Wax-based concrete curing compound
A wax-based surface film to help limit moisture loss from fresh concrete.
Overview
Wax-based curing compounds form a surface film intended to reduce evaporation from newly placed concrete. They are considered when the specified curing method permits a membrane-forming compound. Residues may affect later coatings, adhesives or screeds, so compatibility or removal requirements must be checked. The compound does not replace appropriate placement and finishing practices.
Typical applications
- Fresh concrete slabs
- Pavement concrete
- Concrete without incompatible subsequent finishes
