Zinc-rich protective coating

Overview

Zinc-rich coatings contain a high proportion of zinc in a specified binder and are considered as part of steel-corrosion protection systems. Organic and inorganic formulations have different application and overcoating requirements. Steel preparation and compatibility with subsequent layers are essential. They should not be presented as a general coating for any substrate or exposure without a system specification.
