Extruded polystyrene insulation boards (XPS)

Overview

Extruded polystyrene, or XPS, is a rigid foam insulation supplied in boards. It can be considered in specified roof, floor or wall assemblies where its selected grade suits the design. Thickness, loading, moisture exposure and compatibility with adjacent layers must be checked. Fire performance belongs to the actual board and complete assembly, not the category name.
